Jordan Breedlove, LPCC-S, M.Ed.

Jordan Breedlove is a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor who received her Master of Education (M. Ed.) from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Jordan’s education also includes a Bachelors degree (BA) in Psychology and Minors in Child Development and Family Development from The University of Akron.

  • Jordan’s clinical experience includes community mental health and outpatient intervention with children, adolescents, individuals, parents, families, and groups. Her preferred clinical interventions include providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Jordan’s priority is providing effective counseling services which reflect the highest quality of therapeutic interventions. She is determined to aid individuals in learning and adapting traditional coping skills to fit into their own lifestyle. Jordan believes that creativity in coping skills is an important contributor to utilizing skills outside of session and, ultimately, no longer needing therapeutic services. 

  • Jordan has received training in diagnostic assessments and therapeutic services, ranging from self-esteem to anger, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, stress management, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Modalities of treatment in which Jordan aligns are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Other areas of knowledge include ADHD, grief, divorce, job loss, parent/caregiver stress, etc.

Madison Chizmar, LPC, M.Ed.

Madison Chizmar is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her Master of Education (M. Ed.) from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Madison’s education also includes a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology from Kent State University.

  • Madison has a passion for providing personalized therapeutic interventions and draws on a variety of evidence-based clinical techniques to support her clients. Madison integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Existential approaches to create a holistic, client-centered experience.

Madison believes that therapy is a journey towards self-understanding and is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve lasting change.  Madison’s clinical focus includes using the most effective clinical techniques to assist her clients in developing the skills and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges. 

In her work, Madison is dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, behaviors, and beliefs. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in building strong, person-centered and trusting relationships with clients and encouraging growth through thoughtful reflection and behavioral change.

  • Madison's relationship with Kent State University has allowed her to stay current with the most up to date and effective counseling methods.  She brings a rich life experience that she has developed through travel and community engagement that serves to enlighten her perspective and connect with a wide audience of clients.  She has a special passion for working with the LGBTQI community.

Madison has worked with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, grief and loss, trauma, anger management, and emotional regulation.

Kara Kimevski, LPCC, M.Ed., M.A.

Kara Kimevski is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who received her Master of Education (M. Ed.) from Malone University in Canton, Ohio. Kara’s education also includes a Bachelor's degree (BA) in Psychology from Kent State University and a Master's in Forensic Psychology (MA) from Northcentral University.  

  • Kara’s clinical experience includes community mental health and outpatient intervention with children, adolescents, individuals, parents, families, and groups. Kara is dedicated to providing excellent clinical care and a compassionate and supportive environment for her clients. She is a skilled provider of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). 

Kara’s priority is providing effective counseling services which reflect the highest quality of therapeutic interventions. She is an active listener and is empathic with her clients. She also strives to aid individuals in learning and adapting traditional coping skills to fit into their own lifestyle. 

  • Kara is experienced in conducting diagnostic assessments and therapeutic services, ranging from self-esteem to anger, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, stress management, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She has also received training in Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid.

Elizabeth Hull-Frye, LPC, M.Ed.

Elizabeth Hull-Frye is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with empathy, clinical insight, and personalized care. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio in Delaware, Ohio and her Bachelor of Science from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida.

  • Elizabeth has experience treating a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and other mood-related issues. She draws from evidence-based treatment modalities—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt Therapy—to offer an integrative, client-centered approach tailored to each individual’s needs.

Elizabeth works with children ages 6 and up, as well as teens and adults. She offers virtual

therapy for clients ages 18 and older, making care accessible and convenient. Currently

accepting new clients, Elizabeth provides flexible scheduling with early morning and evening

availability to accommodate a variety of needs. Her goal is to create a supportive, affirming

space where clients can build emotional resilience, develop self-awareness, and experience

meaningful personal growth.

  • When she’s not working, Elizabeth enjoys spending time in the garden, knitting, and creating vibrant tie-dye projects—activities that reflect her appreciation for creativity, patience, and being grounded in the present moment.

Meredith Millward is a licensed professional clinical counselor who received her Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Meredith’s education also includes a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in Psychology from Kent State University with a minor focus of American Sign Language. 

  • Meredith’s clinical experience includes community mental health and outpatient intervention with children, adolescents, individuals, parents, and families. Although Meredith has provided treatment services to individuals and families presenting a variety of mental health concerns, Meredith has a special area of interest in assisting adolescents, adults, and families improve their lives. Areas of clinical excellence include anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery. Her preferred clinical interventions include providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Meredith is driven to provide high quality counseling services tailored to fit your individual needs. She is motivated to provide concrete tools and interventions in order to provide you with the most benefit from services, with the intention of giving you the skills you need in order to eliminate dependence on therapy support services.

Greg Hoefler, LPCC-S, M.C.

Greg Hoefler is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who received his Master of Counseling (M.C.) from Arizona State University.

  • Greg brings over 30 years of experience working in community mental health, private practice, and hospital settings. He is trained in a number of modalities including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Couples Counseling, and Solution-Focused Counseling.

Greg has moved several times across the country, made several job changes, and experienced family illness and loss, so he is familiar with hitting obstacles, falling down, and getting up again. His personal experience informs his clinical experience to help you break through barriers and find solutions.

  • Greg currently works during the week as an outpatient therapist at Akron Children’s Hospital and will see clients here at Effective Counseling Solutions on Thursday evenings and Saturdays.

Catherine (Katie) LaBar is a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor who received her Master of Education (M. Ed.) from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Katie’s education also includes a Bachelor's degree (BA) in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice from The Ohio State University.

  • Katie’s ambition is to offer a variety of evidence based interventions to address your individual needs. She has found that the most important aspect of the counseling process is often the relationship she establishes with her client, with the goal of providing them with the skills to decrease the need for ongoing therapy support. Katie has a special interest in helping individuals to resolve trauma and build resilience.

Katie is trained in diagnostic assessments and therapeutic services, with experience ranging from anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma to behavioral disorders, and anger. Katie is highly experienced in the use of clinical interventions such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Katie specializes in being an active and empathic listener. She works with a dedicated focus to help her clients achieve and sustain a high quality of mental health.
