Tina Likovets, IMFT-S

Tina is an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is dedicated to providing excellent counseling service to her clients. Tina Likovetz, Ed.D., IMFT-S, is an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor with more than 15 years of experience serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across community mental health, hospital, educational, and private practice settings. She earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University and a Master's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. Tina provides compassionate, evidence-based care utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, art therapy, sandtray therapy, and relationship-focused interventions. She is also a trained provider of Prepare/Enrich and SYMBIS premarital and marital assessments, allowing her to help couples build stronger, healthier relationships.

  Tina is deeply passionate about helping individuals and families discover hope, healing, and lasting change. She believes exceptional mental health care begins with creating a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where every client feels heard, respected, and empowered. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to both clinical excellence and leadership, serving as a clinical team leader, mentoring fellow therapists, developing professional training programs, and helping secure grant funding to expand expressive therapy resources for children and adolescents. Whether supporting a child through play therapy, guiding a family through difficult transitions, or helping couples strengthen their relationships, Tina is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized care that promotes resilience, emotional wellness, and meaningful growth.

Greg Hoefler, LPCC-S, M.C.

Greg Hoefler, LPCC, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. He earned his Master of Counseling (M.C.) from Arizona State University and has worked in community mental health, private practice, and hospital settings, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to clients across a wide range of ages and concerns. Greg is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and couples counseling, tailoring his approach to meet each client's unique needs and goals. He currently serves as an outpatient therapist at Akron Children's Hospital and also provides counseling services at Effective Counseling Solutions on Monday evenings and Saturdays.

  Greg is passionate about creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Having personally experienced major life transitions, career changes, family illness, and loss, he understands that life's obstacles can feel overwhelming. Those experiences have strengthened his empathy and allow him to connect with clients in an authentic and compassionate way. Greg believes that healing begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship and is dedicated to helping each person discover their strengths, overcome barriers, and build a path toward lasting emotional wellness and hope.

Mitch Conrad, LPC, M.Ed.

Mitch Conrad, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing compassionate, affirming, and evidence-based mental health care for adolescents and adults. He earned his Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University after completing bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Psychology at Baldwin Wallace University. Mitch is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University, reflecting his ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and lifelong learning. 

  He has experience helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, suicidal ideation, and the lasting effects of trauma, including emotional abuse, physical abuse, and bullying. Mitch also has experience working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and is committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care that honors each person's unique identity and lived experience.

  Mitch is passionate about creating a safe, collaborative, and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey. He believes that meaningful counseling begins with understanding each person's unique story and working together to develop an approach that aligns with their values, strengths, and goals. His integrative therapeutic style draws from Person-Centered Therapy, emotion-focused interventions, attachment theory, feminist theory, and polyvagal theory, while incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care. Whether helping clients process difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, or build greater resilience, Mitch is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized care that fosters self-understanding, emotional well-being, and lasting personal growth.

Kara Kimevski, LPCC, M.Ed., M.A.

Kara Kimevski, LPCC, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, and families achieve greater emotional well-being through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. She earned her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from Northcentral University. Kara has extensive experience providing counseling in both community mental health and outpatient settings, where she has helped clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem concerns, anger management, adjustment difficulties, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), allowing her to tailor treatment to meet each client's unique needs and goals.

  Kara believes that exceptional counseling begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and respect. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where clients feel safe to share their experiences, discover their strengths, and develop practical skills for lasting emotional wellness. Known for her thoughtful listening and compassionate approach, Kara works collaboratively with each client to adapt evidence-based coping strategies to fit their individual lifestyle and circumstances. Her commitment to clinical excellence, combined with her training in Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid, reflects her passion for empowering individuals and families to overcome challenges, build resilience, and experience meaningful, lasting change.

Meredith Budowanec, LPCC-S, M.Ed.

Meredith Millward is a licensed professional clinical counselor who received her Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Meredith’s education also includes a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in Psychology from Kent State University with a minor focus of American Sign Language. 

  • Meredith’s clinical experience includes community mental health and outpatient intervention with children, adolescents, individuals, parents, and families. Although Meredith has provided treatment services to individuals and families presenting a variety of mental health concerns, Meredith has a special area of interest in assisting adolescents, adults, and families improve their lives. Areas of clinical excellence include anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery. Her preferred clinical interventions include providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Meredith is driven to provide high quality counseling services tailored to fit your individual needs. She is motivated to provide concrete tools and interventions in order to provide you with the most benefit from services, with the intention of giving you the skills you need in order to eliminate dependence on therapy support services. 

  • Meredith provides diagnostic assessment and therapeutic services to children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families exhibiting a diversity of emotional and behavioral health concerns, including but not limited to, depression, suicide/self-harm, self-esteem, anger, anxiety, divorce, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma, ADHD, learning disorders, behavioral disorders, and parent/caregiver consultation. Meredith has received training, supervision and consultation in the treatment modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

Katie Labar, LPCC-S, M.Ed.

Catherine (Katie) LaBar is a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor who received her Master of Education (M. Ed.) from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Katie’s education also includes a Bachelor's degree (BA) in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice from The Ohio State University.

  • Katie’s ambition is to offer a variety of evidence based interventions to address your individual needs. She has found that the most important aspect of the counseling process is often the relationship she establishes with her client, with the goal of providing them with the skills to decrease the need for ongoing therapy support. Katie has a special interest in helping individuals to resolve trauma and build resilience.

Katie is trained in diagnostic assessments and therapeutic services, with experience ranging from anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma to behavioral disorders, and anger. Katie is highly experienced in the use of clinical interventions such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Katie specializes in being an active and empathic listener. She works with a dedicated focus to help her clients achieve and sustain a high quality of mental health.

Katie’s clinical experience includes community mental health and outpatient intervention with children, adolescents, individuals, families, and groups. Katie has worked with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Corinne Bettle, B.A., Office Manager

Corinne has been an ECS team member since 2017. She is driven to provide excellent customer service to our clients and she is an excellent support to our staff. As direct support staff, Corinne is known for being kind and incredibly helpful among our clinicians and with our clients. She aids clients in navigating insurance, billing, and invoicing. Corinne is known to provide kind, helpful assistance and works an issue patiently to the very end.
